The Club was founded in 1976 and has developed rugby in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne ever since, with a strong focus on creating a family-friendly environment upholding the rugby values of Teamwork, Discipline, Enjoyment, Respect and Sportsmanship.
2018 was a fantastic year for the club, fielding a senior men’s team in both the Premiership and Premiership Reserve Competitions for the first time in a while, playing deep into finals.
Our UniPanthers made it through the Women’s GF this season will see them as a standalone Northern Panthers team.
Ex Juniors and current Rebels Players Fereti Sa’aga, Robert Leota and Jordan Uelesi are often at the Club to assist the Juniors and seniors at training.
Former Wallaroo Silei Poluleuligaga is our senior women coach. All our coaches have vast experience and excellent credentials so we are well placed to develop your rugby skills.
As well as our great year across seniors, all 3 of our junior teams took out their respective Premierships winning in the U12, Youth Girls and U18’s!
Women have played a significant role in our Club over the years.
Silei Poluleuligaga has coached the combined UniPanthers Women's team to premierships and took the senior men’s team to a premiership in 2012 and in 2019 she will lead our Northern Panthers Women’s team.
Seniors Mens – Premiership, Reserves, and Colts
Senior Women’s – Women’s team

CLUB FUN FACT - As the 2019 preseason started for our senior men’s, there were a lot of new faces.
Of these new faces, a few had emigrated from NSW. Two of these new faces played at the same club in NSW, but didn’t know that the other had moved south.
Imagine the look of surprise when they both found themselves starting preseason together for the Panthers! Welcome aboard boys!
SEASON 2019 CLUB EXPECTATIONS -
Off the field, we are aiming to continue our growth in player numbers across all age groups and continue growing rugby in Victoria.
On the field, we want to see our senior men’s team take the next step that will lead them into Dewar Shield in the short term.
Our teams are looking good to achieve this with big numbers at preseason already, indicating good competition for spots.
As we are fielding a standalone Women’s team in a while, we are aiming to go one better than our combined team last year and take out the Premiership.
And as always, we want our juniors to get out there and enjoy the game, build lifelong friendships, and hopefully repeat the successes on the field of last year by taking out the Premiership again!
